The terms of using this bot
Plain language, no surprises. This covers what QuantLab does for you, what it expects from you, and where each of us stands if something goes wrong.
Using it means accepting this
QuantLab is a Discord bot and a web control panel for it. By adding the bot to a server, using any of its commands, or opening the panel, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, remove the bot and stop using the panel — that is the whole of the remedy, and it is always available to you.
If you are adding the bot to a server, you confirm you have permission to do so from whoever runs that server.
A bot, offered as it is
QuantLab provides moderation tools, levelling, giveaways, tickets, scheduled and automated posts, market news and calendar feeds, and a web panel to configure all of it.
It is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It may be unavailable, may lose data, and may change or remove features without notice. It depends on Discord and on third-party sources for news and market data, and none of those are under our control.
Nothing here is financial advice. The risk calculator, the economic calendar, the news feed and every market-themed feature are informational tools and entertainment. They are not a recommendation to trade, and no output from this bot should be relied on for a real financial decision.
What we ask of you
Use the bot within Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and within the law where you are.
Do not
- Use the bot to harass, abuse, or target anyone.
- Use it to distribute anything illegal, or to break Discord's rules through it.
- Attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the bot or the panel, or to reach data belonging to a server you do not administer.
- Automate or script the bot's commands to farm XP or giveaways, or exploit a bug instead of reporting it.
- Resell or rebrand the service as your own.
If you run a server
You are responsible for how the bot is configured on it and for what your moderators do with it. That includes the wording you put into its messages, the channels you point it at, and the moderation actions taken through it. Configuration is powerful on purpose — it can post to any channel you allow and act on any member the bot can reach.
Access is tied to Manage Server
The control panel signs you in with Discord and shows you only the servers where you hold the Manage Server permission and the bot is present. Anyone with that permission on a server has full access to that server's configuration, including its levels and its moderation records.
Treat that permission as the key it is. Keep your Discord account secure, and do not share panel links that carry a session.
It can stop, and it can change
There is no uptime commitment. The service may be suspended, restricted or discontinued at any time, for any server or entirely. Access may be withdrawn from a server or a user that breaks these terms, without notice and without explanation.
These terms may change. The date at the top is when the current version took effect, and continuing to use the bot after a change means accepting it.
The limit of what is owed
To the fullest extent the law allows, QuantLab and the people behind it are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it — including lost data, lost XP, a moderation action taken through it, a message it posted or failed to post, or any decision made on the back of information it displayed.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
Questions, bugs, or a removal request
Reach the operator of your server first — most things, including levels and warnings, are theirs to fix. For anything that needs the bot's operator, including data deletion, contact them through the support server or the contact route published where you added the bot.
Data questions are answered in the Privacy Policy, which sits alongside these terms and forms part of them.
